we have used  the front part of a table vacuum cleaner (reject)

we have used  the motor and pinions of a printer ( reject)

we have 3D printed a 20 cm long  toothed-rack

we have glued the rack and fixed the motor and pinions inside the available volume

we control the IN/OUT movement by ARDUINO
