Mai 68 : SOUS LES CHAINES, LES RAYONS........

History:

Cyclehack BXL took place from 19 to 21 june 2015

During this meeting I proposed to analyze the regulation on electric cycle which I believe is a barrier to mobility.

Directive 2002/24/EC  classifies "(electric) bicycles" as " cycles with pedal assitance which are equipped with an auxiliary electric motor having a maximum continuous rated power of 0.25kW, of which the output is progressively reduced and finally cut off as the vehicle reaches a speed of 25km/h, or sooner, if the cyclist stops pedalling."

And out of frustration (nobody was interested in electric cycling ) I decided  to develop a sculpture with the spare-parts at our disposal in CYCLO's workshop ( thanks to Jean-Luc)

It is called   " MAI 68" 

The slogan then was " Sous les pavés , la plage....................."

it is now  :  " Sous les chaînes , les rayons........"

It's the same philosophy.............
