Marius Watz
Marius Watz (NO) is an artist and sometime curator working with code
as an aesthetic material. His work explores abstract forms as the
outcome of generative systems, with output ranging from realtime
software art to physical structures created using digital
fabrication tools.
Watz has exhibited his work internationally at venues like the
V&A (London), Itau Cultural (Sao Paulo), Todaysart (The Hague)
and the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture (Moscow). Watz is
based in New York and Oslo, and is a lecturer in Interaction Design
at the Oslo School of Architecture & Design. He is also the
founder of Generator.x, a curatorial platform for computational
aesthetics. He regularly lectures and gives workshops on creative
coding practices.
